Getting to know Nicole:

  • What was your first job?
Before my days working at supermarkets I actually did Daffodil picking, it was ok but money was awful so it was more about hanging out with the other kids and seeing who could make $10 in the time we were there.
  • Who’s your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?
My play list is suuuuuper random, so it all comes down to mood what I look for. It could be anywhere from REM to One Republic to Vinai to Enya. To be honest with my two kids around I don’t get to pick music that often and it’s more like Crazy Frog, the Minions and weirdly Alex Warren – all at 7am on a weekday.
  • What is one of your favourite smells?
There is nothing better than the smell of bread or biscuits baking, a lot of happy memories are to do with baking so it’s a bit of a nostalgia hit.
  • What would be your spirit animal?
I would love to say a cat- they get to sleep 70% of the time, everyone wants to feed you, and you can be as moody as you like, and people still think it’s cute. If you asked my husband, I reckon he would say sloth because I take so long to get out of the house!
  • What’s something you’ve been meaning to try but just haven’t gotten around to it?
I really want to try reform Pilates – I currently do yoga and basic Pilates occasionally, but people rave about it so want to see what it’s all about (slightly terrified though as I am sure it will show up how unfit I am!).
  • What age do you wish you could permanently be, and why?
I reckon 30 was a pretty good age, I was wising up to some things in life and my body was not yet starting to fall apart haha.
  • What city would you most like to live in?
This is probably a bit lame but I actually really love where I live now, I have everything nature wise so easily accessed and I can travel when I want something a little different for a week or two. If I had to choose something else I think Melbourne would be the next in line.
