Getting to know Andrew:

  • Describe your first week at 360?
It was so long ago!  The only clear memory I have was going to Waipukurau for the very first time.
  • If you had to host a dinner party with any 3 guests, who would they be and why?
    1. Jimmy Carr. Not only very funny but also has some thought-provoking insights into life.
    2. Gordon Ramsay– he will do the cooking.
    3. Kane Williamson – NZ’s best cricketer.
  • What was your first job?
I worked for my uncle, who ran an engineering business, helping him build steel water tanks. Very dirty and tiring work, but I was earning $2 an hour, cash in hand—great money at the time.
  • What was the first concert you attended?
Flowers at the Founders Theatre in Hamilton.
  • If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be and why?
A very quiet Greek island. Sunny and warm every day.
  • What would the title of your autobiography be?
‘Nobody’. Because that is who would want to buy it.  Not even my mum.
  • Who is someone your admire?
Keith Richards. How is he still alive?
  • What’s the best way to start the day?
    Coffee.
  • What’s something you’ve been meaning to try but haven’t gotten around to?
Still trying to learn the guitar. Hard to find the time and I am not a naturally gifted musician.
  • What are you reading/watching currently?
The Boys. Looking forward to the last in the series. You’ve got to hand it to the writers for their creativity in coming up with such outrageously inappropriate death scenes. And the cricket.
